Soya food intake and risk of endometrial cancer among Chinese women in Shanghai: population based case-control study

High consumption of soy foods may protect women against endometrial cancer.

This study investigated the correlation between preference for high soy diet and a woman's propensity to develop endometrial cancer. Researchers compared the rate of consumption of soy foods among 832 Chinese women with endometrial cancer and 846 women free from the disease.

Researchers observed that the more soy food a woman consumed, the better protected she is from endometrial cancer. The results of this study support dietary intake of soy foods as a viable preventive measure against endometrial cancer.
