Postmenopausal women on high soy diet tend to have stronger bones.

This study looked at the effect of dietary intake of proteins from soy foods on bone mineral density in postmenopausal women. A team of researchers from Hong Kong assessed the dietary choices and measured the bone mass of 454 early postmenopausal Chinese women.

The research team found improved bone mineral density among high consumers of proteins and isoflavones from soy foods. Evidence from this study show that devout consumption of soy foods may help strengthen the bones of postmenopausal women.
