Including more soy foods in our diet may boost a woman's defenses against colorectal cancer.

This meta-analysis evaluated the relationship between the frequency of soy food consumption and the tendency of acquiring colorectal cancer. Researchers sifted through data obtained from 11 published studies. 

Researchers found out that regular intake of soy foods decreased the risk of colorectal cancer by as much as 21% in women, but not in men. The results of this meta-analysis show that generous consumption of soy foods may reduce the incidence of colorectal cancer in women.
