Association of marijuana use and the incidence of testicular germ cell tumors.

The use of marijuana may put a man at high risk of developing cancer of the testes.

​This study looked at the connection between marijuana use and the probability of developing cancer of the testes. Researchers followed and evaluated 1,348 men between the ages of 18 to 44 years with regards to their marijuana use and occurrence of testicular cancer. 

Researchers observed a significant elevation in the risk of cancer of the testes among users of marijuana. The data from this study reveal that smoking of marijuana may be a factor that contributes to the development of testicular cancer.
