Dietary intake of carotenoids and fiber is inversely associated with aggression score in adolescent girls

Eating a high fiber and antioxidant diet may have a positive effect on aggressive behaviors in adolescent girls.

The objective of this study was to determine the impact of regular ingestion of foods rich in fiber and carotenoids on aggressive behaviors in adolescent girls. Data on the eating habits and behavioral patterns of 670 Iranian girls aged 16-18 years were obtained through validated questionnaires.

Researchers observed that adolescent girls at the top of the dietary fiber and carotenoid consumption ladder were less likely to exhibit aggressive behaviors. This study highlights the important role foods loaded with fiber and antioxidants play in improving aggressive behaviors in adolescent girls.
