Researchers noticed that elderly men and women with high intake of fruits and vegetables displayed better memory and cognitive performance than their colleagues who ate little or none of these plant foods. This study highlighted the beneficial role frequent ingestion of fruits and vegetables may play in improving memory and cognitive function in older adults.
