A significant drop in urothelial cancer risk is associated with increased intake of diets high in cauliflower, mandarins, and cooked carrots.

​This study investigated the correlation between the consumption of fruits and vegetables and the onset of urothelial cancer. Researchers matched the frequency of fruit and vegetable intake with the likelihood of acquiring urothelial cancer in a study population comprising of more than 120,000 Dutch men and women between the ages of 55-69 years. 

Researchers observed that individuals on diets rich in cruciferous vegetables, such as cauliflower, fruits, such as mandarins, and root vegetables, such as cooked carrots, had great chances of evading urothelial cancer. The results of this study show that adopting a diet high in cauliflower, mandarins, and cooked carrots, may help knock down urothelial cancer risk.
