​Increased intake of fruits and vegetables may help to fend off renal (kidney) cancer.

​This study assessed whether the consumption of fruits and vegetables can decrease the risk of renal (kidney) cancer. Researchers used data from 19 studies to study the effect of habitual intake of vegetables and fruits on the odds of having kidney cancer. 

Researchers found out that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables lessened the risk of developing renal cancer. The results of this study show that eating diets high in fruits and vegetables may help protect individuals against kidney cancer.
