Associations of composite dietary antioxidant index with premature death and all-cause mortality: a cohort study

Optimal consumption of foods packed with antioxidants may help prolong the lifespan of men and women.

This study uncovered the relationship between dietary exposure to antioxidants and the odds of suffering from untimely death. Researchers monitored the dietary and mortality records of 37,301 men and women.

Researchers discovered that increased intake of foods rich in antioxidants decreased an individual's  risk of dying prematurely from chronic diseases and other causes. This study emphasized that adequate consumption of antioxidant-containing foods may help add more years to the lifespan of men and women.
