Coffee drinkers may be more vulnerable to pancreatic cancer.

This study assessed the risk of pancreatic cancer associated with coffee intake through a meta-analysis. Researchers from China investigated data from 12 studies that investigated the relationship between coffee consumption and pancreatic cancer development risk.

The research team observed that coffee drinkers had higher chances of having pancreatic cancer than non-consumers of coffee. Every cup of coffee consumed was found to raise the risk of pancreatic cancer by 1% in this study. Data from this study indicate that coffee drinking may increase an individual's susceptibility to pancreatic cancer.
