High dietary ingestion of caffeinated coffee may promote the development of ovarian cancer.

‚ÄčThis study examined the consumption of caffeinated beverages in relation to the development of ovarian cancer. A group of scientists from University of Minnesota, USA, looked at the lifestyle and health data of more than 29,000 postmenopausal women recruited from the Iowa Women's Health Study.

The research team noticed that participants who drank 5 or more cups of caffeinated coffee per day were more likely to develop ovarian cancer than their counterparts who abstained from these beverages. Data from this study support that fondness for caffeinated coffee may increase a woman's chances of acquiring ovarian cancer.
