Cigarette smokers may have a high propensity to develop heart failure.

This objective of this meta-analysis was to find out whether tobacco smoking can raise the risk of heart failure. Researchers conducted a meta-analysis on data drawn out of 26 studies.

Researchers noticed that the risk of heart failure rises with cigarette smoking. On the other hand, the odds of experiencing heart failure drop significantly after 15 years of cessation of smoking. The data from this study reveal that smokers may be highly vulnerable to suffer from heart failure.
