The use of e-cigarettes may trigger the onset of stroke, heart attack, and coronary heart disease.

‚ÄčThe aim of this study was to determine the role e-cigarettes play in the development of stroke, myocardial infarction (heart attack), and coronary heart disease (CHD). Researchers evaluated data obtained from 410,651 subjects who participated in the annual chronic disease and behavioral risk factor survey conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 

Researchers observed that vaping of e-cigarettes stepped up the risk of suffering stroke, heart attack, and coronary heart disease. Compared to non-users, the likelihood of having from stroke, myocardial infarction, and coronary heart disease was found to increase by 71%, 59%, and 40% respectively in e-cigarette users . Evidence from this study indicate that the use of e-cigarettes may contribute positively to the development coronary heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.
