Cigarette smoking may elevate the risk of dying from colorectal cancer.

​This study examined whether cigarette smoking can increase the risk of death from colorectal cancer. Data on the smoking habits and mortality records of 39,299 men and women were obtained through questionnaires. 

Researchers observed that smokers faced increased risk of dying from colorectal cancer. This study suggests that high colorectal cancer mortality risk is associated with cigarette smoking.
