Exploring the association between cannabis use and depression

Heavy users of cannabis may be highly vulnerable to depression.

This study examined whether an association exists between cannabis use and the onset of depression. Researchers analyzed data obtained from eligible studies. 

Researchers observed that depressive symptoms occurred more frequently among heavy users of cannabis. This study documented that high consumption of cannabis might be a risk factor for depression.
