A literature review and meta-analyses of cannabis use and suicidality

Long term users of cannabis may have a high tendency to conceive, plan, and take their own lives.

This study determined whether cannabis use can increase an individual's chances of committing suicide. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data and evidence drawn out from 27 studies.

Researchers discovered that long term users of cannabis were at risk of having suicidal thoughts and taking their own lives. The results of this study support the notion that chronic use of cannabis can put an individual on the path to suicide.
