High dietary intake of red and processed meat may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer.

This study assessed the risk of pancreatic cancer associated with the consumption of meat and fatty foods. Researchers examined the eating habits and medical records of nearly 200,000 US men and women. 

Researchers discovered that individuals who preferred eating red and processed meat regularly had high tendency to develop pancreatic cancer. The results of this study show that following a diet high in red and processed meats may promote the development of pancreatic cancer.
