Regular drinking of alcohol may make breast cancer more likely to occur in women.

This research work conducted a meta-analysis on previously published studies that documented the results of the association between alcohol intake and breast cancer risk. Researchers analyzed data extracted from a pool of 20 studies. 

Researchers identified a harmful association between high consumption of alcohol and increased risk of breast cancer. The data from this study indicate that habitual drinking of alcohol may fuel the development and growth of cancerous cells and tumors in the female breast.
