This research work studied how long-term consumption of flavonoid-rich foods affects cognitive function in men and women. Researchers collected and collated data on the eating habits and incidence of cognitive decline among more than 65,000 health professionals from the United States. 

Researchers identified a protective association between high flavonoid diet and cognitive decline. This study concluded that eating flavonoid-containing foods regularly may help prevent cognitive decline in men and women.
