Exploring the association between composite dietary antioxidant index and ocular diseases: a cross-sectional studyExploring the association between composite dietary antioxidant index and ocular diseases: a cross-sectional study
Choosing foods high in antioxidants may help shield men and women from developing ocular (eye) diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
This research work studied the trend between high dietary ingestion of antioxidants and the likelihood of suffering from ocular (eye) diseases. Over 1,700 men and women volunteered information about their dietary habits and eye health.
Researchers discovered that optimal intake of antioxidants from food sources cut down the risk of developing different types of eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. The findings of this study revealed that sticking to a high antioxidant diet may help confer an individual with significant protection against several ocular diseases.
