Consumption of a Healthy Plant-based Diet is Associated With a Decreased Risk of Erectile Dysfunction: A Cross-sectional Study of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is less likely to affect men who enjoy eating healthy plant foods.
This study compared the incidence of erectile dysfunction (ED) between consumers and non-consumers of healthy plant foods. Researchers surveyed the diets of 2,549 men. During the course of the study, 1,464 participants reported some degree of erectile dysfunction.
Researchers discovered that the probability of suffering from erectile dysfunction was low among men who maintained a diet rich in healthy plant foods. This study further affirmed the notion that subscribing to a plant-based diet may boost a man's odds of avoiding erectile dysfunction.
