Association between consumption of soy and risk of cardiovascular disease: A meta-analysis of observational studies.

Soy foods may help protect individuals against stroke, cardiovascular ailments, and coronary heart disease.

The purpose of this study was to review previous published studies that examined the association between soy food intake and the odds of developing cardiovascular disease. A total of 17 eligible studies were included in this meta-analysis.

Researchers discovered generous consumption of soy foods diminished the risk of developing stroke, cardiovascular disorders, and coronary heart disease. The results of this study suggest that consuming high amounts of soy foods can significantly reduce an individual's chances of suffering from stroke, cardiovascular ailments, and coronary heart disease.
