The association between empirical dietary inflammatory pattern and risk of cancer and cancer-specific mortality: a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies
Cultivating the habit of consuming pro-inflammatory foods may make an individual highly likely to develop and die from cancer.
This meta-analysis matched the frequency of consumption of pro-inflammatory foods with cancer diagnosis and mortality rates in a study population comprising of over 2.5 million men and women. Up to 24 studies were considered eligible for this meta-analysis.
Researchers discovered that high ingestion of pro-inflammatory foods was linked to an upsurge in the incidence and mortality from different types of cancer in men and women. The data from this study suggested that generous intake of pro-inflammatory foods may bump up an individual's risk of developing and dying from cancer.
