Systematic review of the impact of a plant-based diet on prostate cancer incidence and outcomes

Joining the plant-based diet train may improve a man's chances of staying free from prostate cancer.

This study assessed if eating a plant-based diet is tied to lower risk of prostate cancer using a meta-analytic approach. Researchers analyzed data drawn from a pool of 16 studies. 

Researchers identified an association between the consumption of plant-based diet and decreased susceptibility to prostate cancer. This meta-analysis highlights the important role plant-based diet play in shielding men from prostate cancer.
