Women who regularly consume large servings of eggs are highly vulnerable to ovarian cancer.

This research work evaluated the association between egg consumption and ovarian cancer risk. Researchers analyzed data obtained from 12 cohort and case-control studies that examined 629,453 healthy subjects and 3,728 ovarian cancer patients. They discovered a high ovarian cancer risk among frequent consumers of egg compared to rare- and non-consumers. The findings of this meta-analysis indicate that generous intake of eggs may promote the development of cancerous cells in the ovary.
