This study examined the role of diets in the development and prevention of nasopharyngeal cancer. Researchers reviewed data and evidence extracted from several studies. They found out that diets rich in salted fish and other types of preserved foods increased the risk of developing nasopharyngeal cancer. The findings of this study reveal that regular consumption of preserved foods and salted fish may contribute positively to the development of cancerous cells and tumors in the nasopharynx.
