Strong association between the dietary inflammatory index(DII) and breast cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Optimal intake of anti-inflammatory diet may favor breast cancer prevention in women.

This meta-analysis synthesized data from 14 studies that examined whether the inflammatory property of a diet is related to breast cancer risk. More than 300,000 women took part in this study.

Researchers observed that women at the top of the anti-inflammatory diet consumption ladder had better chances of evading breast cancer than their counterparts who ate high amounts of pro-inflammatory foods. This meta-analysis came to the conclusion that women who want keep breast cancer at bay should join the anti-inflammatory diet train.
