Women who eat more fruits and vegetables tend to have lower risk of breast cancer.

This study investigated the risk of breast cancer associated with the consumption of fruits and vegetables. A group of Chinese researchers monitored the dietary habits of 438 women with breast cancer and another 438 females without the disease over a 5-year period.

Researchers discovered that the more fruits and vegetables a woman consumed, the greater the protection she enjoyed from breast cancer. This study suggests that high fruit and vegetable diet may be beneficial for breast cancer prevention.
