Dietary Inflammatory Index and Breast Cancer: report from a Large-Scale Case-Control Study

Subscribing to a pro-inflammatory diet may raise breast cancer risk in women.

This study seeks to obtain additional evidence affirming the consumption of pro-inflammatory foods with the development of breast cancer in women. The dietary habits of 412 women with breast cancer and 456 females without the disease were analyzed for this study.

Researchers discovered that women on pro-inflammatory diets constituted a significant proportion of breast cancer patients in the study population. The data from this study showed that maintaining a pro-inflammatory diet may increase a woman's susceptibility to breast cancer.
