In Prevent and Reveerse Heart Disease, Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., a former surgeon, researcher, and clinician at the Cleveland Clinic, challenges conventional cardiology by posing a compelling, revolutionary idea-that we can, in fact, abolish the heart-disease epidemic by changing our diets.
In fact, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn Jr., MD illustrates in this book that a plant-based diet free of any added oils can not only prevent the progression of heart disease but can also create a reversal of the disease. The tremendous outcomes of his patients, alive twenty years later and thriving tells a very compelling story. These people had been told by their cardiologists that they had less then a year to live!
