Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a dreaded disease that reduces life expectancy and quality of life. Conventional medical wisdom is that there is no cure. The available medications can have adverse effects and not be well tolerated. Many people seek alternative treatments out of a sense of desperation. MS is a neurological disorder caused by an inflammatory conditions in which the fatty myelin sheaths become damaged and scar.

Currently there is a study being conduced by the University of Oregon and John McDougall, MD with the hopes of demonstrating the progression of MS can be stopped through adopting a low fat plant based diet. There have been some cases of improving MS with this approach so we are eager to see the final results of the study and we are hopeful that MS can be stopped.
