What about Fatigue?

I am new to Starch-Smart. It's only been a week and a half. I am starting to see some good changes to my skin. I'm real happy about that. I'm getting in 55-60 minutes of walking, mostly 60 minutes. That is such a BIG change for me! But I'm feeling tired. I'm wondering if this is normal as my body is adjusting to the new program, maybe detoxing?

I just read your question to Dr. Carney. She is very proud of you and happy for you. And yes. Detox is part of what is going on. You have made some major changes. It will take you awhile but keep it up and do not be discouraged. And, remember also that you are adding in exercise that you did not do before. So, the combination of the added exercise and the removal of many things from your diet that were giving you dopamine hits to the pleasure center are now causing withdrawal like symptoms. But, again, it is all good. Allow yourself to rest and keep forcing yourself to exercise. Make sure to drink plenty of water as well. :-)
