The China Study is Highly Recommended Reading

The China Study is Highly Recommended Reading

I whole heartily recommend that everybody interested in diet and health purchase and read a copy of the book The China Study by T. Colin Campbell PhD.  This one book has been the catalyst for so many people having their eyes opened to the benefits of plant-based nutrition.

The China Study was the largest study to date on nutrition and health. It has been referred to as the "Grand Prix of epidemiology" by The New York Times.  Much of the materials in The China Study has been incorporated into the eCornell Certificate Program from Cornell University.

The movie Forks Over Knives prominently features The China Study as it documents the life and work of Dr. Campbell as well as the life and work of Caldwell Esselstyn Jr., MD from the Cleveland Clinic.

We also embedded a video, with poor quality audio, but high quality content from a presentation by T. Colin Campbell PhD in Hawaii:

Several years ago I was made a believer after seeing Forks over Knives. With their ability to turn on and turn off tumor growth by limiting the amount of "animal protein". 20% caused growth and 5% shut it down. The animal protein that was used was casein which is found predominantly in cow's milk. I can't find how much casein is found in beef but I am sure it is not anywhere near as much as in the milk. After reviewing I remember my initial feeling after seeing Forks over Knives is that I can give up eating animal meat and I will cure cancer. If I consume a plant based diet I will cure cancer. Now I find that the study is based on the protein casein so why not just give up milk? I think there is a lot of hype given to this when if you look at the big picture; casein is mainly found in milk and vegetarians get cancer.
