Many people believe they can't live without meat. And, they eat lots of it. Or at least they think they do. However, many people including children on the Standard American Diet (SAD) are actually eating a lot less meat than they think. Certainly that is the case for SAD eaters feasting extensively on fast foods. So, you might ask, if they are not eating meat what are they eating? Are you sure you really want to know?

Dr. Michael Greger's video clip, "What's in a Burger?" reveals that most fast food burgers contain only 2-14% beef. According to the Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, anatomic pathologists at the Cleveland Clinic dissected fast food burgers to see what was inside. Most customers believe their burgers are made primarily from meat, yet when analyzed, 85-98% of the burger contained blood vessels, nerves, bone, cartilage, connective tissue, hormones, and swarms of parasites. Ammonia was also present, which is injected into the beef to kill the fecal bacteria.
