Whole grains and CVD risk.

Decreased cardiovascular disease risk is associated with regular intake of whole grains.

This research work was carried out to determine the role whole grains play in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Researchers analyzed data and evidence obtained from several published literatures on the subject. They discovered that habitual consumers of whole grains had low cardiovascular disease risk. The findings of this study show that regular consumption of whole grains may confer significant protection against the development of cardiovascular diseases.
