​Consistent consumption of foods high in vitamin A and high blood levels of vitamin A may help prevent the development of cervical cancer in women.

This study evaluated the effect of increased dietary exposure to vitamin A and high circulating levels of vitamin A on cervical cancer development risk. Researchers evaluated data from 15 scientific articles that analyzed the connection between vitamin A intake and the odds of developing cervical cancer.

Researchers found out that subjects with high dietary intake of vitamin A and elevated serum levels of vitamin A were less prone to develop cervical cancer compared to subjects with low dietary intake or diminished blood levels of vitamin A. The results of this study indicate that increased intake of foods high in vitamin A may help protect women from developing cervical cancer.
