The effect of smoking on the risk of gallbladder cancer: a meta-analysis of observational studies.

​The probability of developing cancer of the gallbladder is high among cigarette smokers.

This study examined the association between cigarette smoking and the likelihood of developing cancer of the gallbladder. Researchers from China analyzed data and evidence from 11 studies that assessed the link between tobacco smoking and gallbladder cancer development risk.

The team of experts found out that cigarette smokers were more prone to come down with cancer of the gallbladder than non-smokers. The findings of this study show that tobacco smoking can accelerate the onset of cancer of the gallbladder.
