Low pancreatic cancer risk is associated with women who are habitual consumers of nuts.

This study evaluated the association between high dietary intake of nuts and pancreatic cancer development risk in women. Researchers tracked the nut consumption rate and estimated the pancreatic cancer risk ratio of 75,680 women recruited from the Nurses’s Health Study. The team of investigators found out that increased consumption of nuts decreased the risk of developing pancreatic cancer. The results of this study reveal that regular intake of large servings of nuts may protect women from pancreatic cancer.
