Coffee consumption and risk of endometrial cancer: findings from a large up-to-date meta-analysis.

Generous intake of coffee may cut down the risk of developing endometrial cancer.

This research work was carried out to determine the effect of coffee consumption on endometrial cancer risk. Researchers reviewed data on coffee intake and endometrial cancer relative risk of 6,628 female subjects. They found out subjects who consumed the most coffee had lower endometrial cancer than those who seldom drank or did not drink coffee at all. This anti-carcinogenic effect of coffee on the endometrium was found to be stronger in Japanese women than in European, Canadian, and U.S women. The findings of this review show that increased coffee consumption may protect women against endometrial cancer.
