Engine 2 Diet
The Engine 2 Immersion programs run in Austin Texas, for Whole Foods employees, have been a tremendous blessing to many hundreds of people whose lives will never be the same. They experience the power of one week of Plant-Strong living!
Dr. Carney is privileged to be the Medical Director for these twice yearly lifestyle immersion programs. Her staff help with blood draws, vitals and arranging appointments for participants with health issues. Dr. Carney daily monitors some participants often lowering their medications greatly due to the incredible power of the Plant-Strong diet.

Early in 2010 Dr. Carney was fortunate enough to be invited by Rip Esselstyn and Adam Reiser to become the Medical Director for their up and coming Engine 2 Immersion programs being conducted for employees of Whole Foods.
This was an opportunity of a lifetime, right in line with the Care Philosophy of Dr. Carney, and so her Medical Practice at AllMedPhysicians, pLLC now closes twice yearly while Dr. Carney, her husband, and their staff participate in the Engine 2 Immersion programs.
These programs are life changing not only for the employees at Whole Foods, but also for the staff of AllMedPhysicians and for the chefs, and other workers, at the Travaasa resort. This is a wonderful introduction to the benefits of Plant-Strong living in a very tangible, and effective (think delicious and beautiful) way.
Three superb all you care to eat Plant-Strong meals are served daily and every morning exercise options include swimming, walking up and down steep hills, hiking the trails, yoga, and fitness training.

You must see this video and hear this testimony!
Our greatest joy in the immersions is found in testimonies of participants who find happening to their bodies what they had been educated to believe could never happen. That is, their disease conditions not only improve but they go away! Dr. Carney had to reduce Jacquie's insulin again. This testimony was only on the fourth morning!

We rented a U-Haul truck and packed up much of the office on Friday September 16th to be transported to Austin's Travaasa Resort Hotel for Rip Esselstyn's 4th Engine 2 Diet Immersion program. Our temporary Medical Clinic at Travaasa Austin was set up with a large room for conducting blood draws, group medical appointments and private consultations with Linda Carney MD. The computer network was installed and configured on Friday by Sean, Dr. Carney's husband. We then returned home for a day of rest before the big event; returning to Travaasa on Saturday evening for the introductory welcoming meeting presented by Rip Esselstyn.

Vitals are taken and blood is drawn on all participants twice during the week. The first time is on Sunday morning and the second time is on the following Friday morning. The picture here shows a table set up with two draw stations, one at either end. In order to process 132 participants in as close to a two hour window as possible we had to set up four tables with eight draw stations.
