Why Post Comments and Questions?

Two days ago we blogged about ways to increase our effective health influence since we are Unable to Clone Dr. Carney. There are some Books and Videos in the works. We maintain Social Networking efforts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Google+ and our own Starch-Smart Social Network, Discussion Forum, and Member Blogs. These all are helping and we intend to keep promoting our Starch-Smart System Health Message on all of these sites.

We also started wondering if there might be some low hanging fruit that we were missing. The one thing that came to light is that web sites with comments have higher page ranks with the search engines and hence are more likely to be found. Without comments and questions on a web site there is not a lot of motive for search engines to continue indexing our pages, looking to see if anything has been added and/or changed recently, and ranking those pages higher. This is part of a web strategy called Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which you may have been running into lately. We do need to be thinking about SEO in this 21st Century Internet age!

Our quick answer was to add the ability for you to comment on and discuss every Article on DrCarney.com and also on every Blog Post on DrCarney.com. This all became effective yesterday. We soft launched this to work out the bugs. We think the bugs are worked out and we want to stress test the system a little bit right now. If you would please rate and comment on some of our Articles and Blogs, we would be extremely grateful! If you wanted to rate and comment on many of them we would be even more grateful. But, if you just rate and comment on one of them we would still be happy!

Going forward we hope to keep a steady stream of comments and questions coming in. This should help us to be found by more people interested in the topics discussed in our Articles and Blogs who may not have considered a whole-foods, plant-based, low-fat, Starch-Smart System diet as a solution to their health problems! This also should help us to scratch where you are itching. Basically you let us know what is on your mind and we will try to provide answers and resources!
